Deshazor Everett’s Wrongful Death Car Accident

Everything You Need to Know About NFL Player Deshazor Everett’s Wrongful Death Car Accident

A car crash can change a person’s life in moments. Whether the person is a part of the Washington Football Team or if they are a grocery store clerk – an automobile accident is severe. However, when a car crash happens, and an NFL star like Deshazor Everett is at fault, it becomes a big thing all over the news. However, everything is available regarding the Washington Football Team defensive player and his car crash.

Who Is Deshazor Everett?

Deshazor Everett is a member of the Washington Football Team’s defensive lineup. He is currently 30 years old and is from DeRidder, Louisiana. He had a short stint with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before joining the Washington Football Team in 2015.

What Is a Wrongful Death Case?

The definition of a wrongful death case must be explained first. Wrongful death in a car accident may happen because of another motorist or driver’s recklessness or negligence. In the case involving Deshazor Everett, he was charged with involuntary manslaughter. He was also given a wrongful death case because he was the reason for the passing of his then-girlfriend, Olivia S. Peters, of Las Vegas.

Why Did the Car Crash Happen?

Virginia police began investigating Washington Football Team player Deshazor Everett in December 2021 after he was in a car crash with his girlfriend, Olivia S. Peters of Las Vegas. It happened on a Thursday night, and Deshazor Everett was driving a 2010 Nissan GT R recklessly. This car can reach a top speed of 193mph, and he was racing this car down the road with his girlfriend in the passenger seat.

On Thursday night at 9:15 PM on Gum Spring Road in Loudoun County, Deshazor Everett ended up off the road, struck several trees, and rolled over in the car. The pair were taken to the hospital, where it was deemed that Deshazor Everett had non-life-threatening injuries, while his girlfriend died in the local hospital.

The police investigated why the 2010 Nissan GT R came off the roadway, struck several trees, and rolled over. However, this happens all too often in a car crash, and on that night involving Deshazor Everett, someone just happened to lose their life. Right after the car crash was made public knowledge, the Washington Football Team acknowledged that Deshazor Everett was in a car accident on Thursday night and was still in the local hospital. Also, the team did provide their thoughts and prayers to the wrongful death victim and their family.

What Happened After the Crash?

Several things took place after the crash with Deshazor Everett. The National Football League Office was informed about the accident. When this happens, it is because the National Football League Office needs to decide whether the player will have a penalty regarding their football career and assist the police investigation in any way that they can.

The next thing that happened was that while Everett was healing from his non-life-threatening injuries, the Washington Football Team released him from his contract, so he was no longer a part of the Washington Football Team. This has happened in the past when other players get into serious car accidents where someone has died, so it is no surprise that it happened here. However, it surprised Everett when he found out that the Washington Football Team released him from his contract.

Also, in early 2022, Everett had a warrant out for his arrest for involuntary manslaughter. On February 8th, 2022, the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers player turned himself in. He was then held in the detention center in Loudoun County on bond but was released on March 16th, 2022.

What Is Involuntary Manslaughter?

Involuntary manslaughter is when a person has committed a killing without the intention of doing so. Everett was charged with involuntary manslaughter because his girlfriend died in a car accident due to his reckless driving. Everett did not intend to get in the car accident or for his girlfriend to be killed, so he was charged with involuntary manslaughter.

What Is Currently Happening with This Case?

There are no new updates on the case with the former Washington Football Team player, Deshazor Everett. After being released from the detention center, there have been no recent updates on his movements. However, he is most likely preparing for a court case about his involuntary manslaughter charge and the wrongful death lawsuit.

How Does a Wrongful Death Lawsuit Work?

The vital part of a wrongful death lawsuit is that the defendant needs to be held accountable for what they have caused. This is where it needs to be proven that the defendant was negligent and that they owed a duty of care to the victim, but it was not upheld. In this case, it would need to be proven that Everett was driving dangerously with his girlfriend in the passenger seat when they crashed. It would then need to be proven that Peters had died due to the life-threatening injuries sustained during the car crash in Loudoun County.

Who Can File a Wrongful Death Lawsuit?

A representative of the deceased can file a wrongful death lawsuit. This person must have had a relationship with the victim, but it also depends on the state in which the case is being filed because every state is slightly different.

In all states, the deceased’s spouse can bring forth a wrongful death lawsuit on behalf of their spouse. Also, parents of minors can bring forth a case. However, when it comes to adult children, states begin to have different opinions on whether parents can bring forth a wrongful death lawsuit. If the person bringing the case forward is a distant relative, likely, it will not go very far.

When it comes to this particular case, it is most likely that the Peters family had brought forth the wrongful death lawsuit forward. This is because Nevada allows the parents to bring this lawsuit forward since Peters did not have any children and did not have a spouse.

What Are the Damages That Can Be Received?

When it comes to a wrongful death lawsuit, many different damages can be claimed for a monetary sum. Typically, two different types of damages can be calculated: special and punitive.

Regarding special damages, these are the costs that the deceased suffered so that the family can be compensated for any medical bills, funeral expenses, and lost wages. If the family is looking at punitive damages, they would need to disclose how Peters’s future income would have contributed to the family home.

A car accident is a scary occurrence that can change a person’s life forever. After the car crash with Deshazor Everett and Olivia S. Peters, Everett was released from the Washington Football Team while recovering from his non-life-threatening injuries. Also, he has now been charged with involuntary manslaughter and a wrongful death lawsuit. This is because Olivia S. Peters died due to a single-car crash in the hospital.

The cause of the crash remains a mystery as local authorities are still investigating why it happened. However, the wrongful death of Peters has left a significant mark on her family, friends, and Everett.

Crash of Speeding Ferrari Kills Mixed Martial Arts Figure Charles Lewis – UPDATE

DUI Driver Kills Mixed Martial Arts Figure Charles “Mask” Lewis – The Aftermath

Death of the Newport Beach “Mask” Years Later

May God Rest His Eternal Soul

We older MMA fans and fighters think of Charles “Mask” Lewis when we think of Tapout Gear. Why do I care? First, I was trained by sensei Nori Bunasawa as a small child when Karate and Kung Fu were all the rage.

My father, a recent Vietnam Marine now released from active duty, thought all that “Kung Fu” stuff was bunk. He forced me to take judo for my “own good.” It was not until years later that he was proven right when Gracie Jiu Jitsu took hold in the early 1990s, using pretty much every move I learned from Sensei Nori and even more.

Well, my dad was actually proven right before the UFC, actually. Due to my small size, I got picked on a lot, that is, until I started flipping bullies all over the El Rancho Junior High School campus. So I was keen on Mask, as I knew that BJJ evolved partly from Judo. Sure, there are not too many throws compared to judo, but MMA is evolving, and judo is still proving its worth in the UFC and in street fights.

Even sensei Nori has his own brand of Jiu-Jitsu called Jukkendo.

And that brings me back to Mask. I was working at LA Boxing when I first met Mask, living in Newport Beach and training in boxing, grappling, and Gracie-style jits. He was selling t-shirts and was super dynamic. He also had a sense of military discipline (Mask was an ex-deputy with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Dept, Central Detention Center) about him. I liked being a Marine myself. Anyway, he turned that whole Tapout thing into a multimillion-dollar business, which is super awesome too. Way cooler than walking a beat, right?

Okay, now you know a bit about me, why I thought Mask was a cool dude, and why it matters. You can imagine how Newport Beach inhabitants were shocked when Charles Lewis, the 45-year-old, Mixed Martial Arts professional, died in a violent accident; I sure was. The Newport Beach police report showed that the fighter’s Ferrari ran into a Porsche with such violence that the car was ripped in half. Unfortunately, this caused the death of the famous Charles Lewis and his female passenger, who ended up elected from the vehicle onto the street.

Jeffrey David Kirby Was the Driver

After arriving at the scene, the Newport Beach police identified the Ferrari crash responsible. Jeffrey Kirby was helped under arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and was later determined to be driving under the influence.

Jeffrey David Kirby, 51, tried to flee the scene on foot with his female passenger, Lynn Marie Nabozny, but the police found them.

The police arrested the Porsche driver who ended the life of Charles Lewis Jr, who had already created his own fighting apparel company. After dedicating a life to mixed martial arts, Lewis founded a martial arts clothing company, so the news of the car wreck shortly spread around and caused shock and pain. The Porsche driver brutally died, and his female passenger was in critical condition at the Santa Ana hospital.

The Ferrari Crash Happened in Newport Beach

Even though accidents like this are not common in the mixed martial arts scene, they’re not that infrequent in Southern California. However, the death of the founder Charles Lewis caused surprise and shock in downtown San Bernardino and similar places, mainly because more cars appeared on the scene quickly.

The Ferrari collided with the Porsche, and the impact was so strong that the first car was ripped in half. Thus, the latest news delivered daily has called it ‘gross vehicular manslaughter,’ considering that it’s one of the most gruesome accidents that have happened in the past years.

Lewis died horribly and shocked family, friends, and fans of MMA. His martial arts clothing company had also become famous, and Upper Newport Bay and Southern California inhabitants were immensely impressed by what occurred.

The Newport Beach Police Reported What Happened

Kirby allegedly told the police that his father advised him never to complete a sobriety test. At the same time, after the apparel company co-founder Charles Lewis died, police officers thoroughly investigated the other driver. They found that the 300,000 Ferrari-wrecker had previous traffic law violations, including driving under the influence.

Lewis’ experience in mixed martial arts shows that he had a charismatic personality, which is one of the reasons why people were so shocked when the Ferrari crashed. Noteworthy here, since Mask was previously a cop from December 1996 to May 1998, his Ferrari carried “confidential plates” registered to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. It doesn’t matter, but I bet the Newport cops were flipped out so that San Bernardino deputies could conceal carry and have a Ferarri!

All Car Accidents Can Be Devastating

When founder Charles Lewis was killed early Wednesday, people arrived at the car wreck shortly after the police did. This high-speed crash is one of the most visible examples of the issues you might encounter if you don’t have a legal expert by your side in case anything occurs. In this case, it falls under a wrongful death claim under which his surviving family could sue.

I have not researched if there was a payout to anyone, but suffice it to say unless there was a large policy, the DUI driver likely could not afford the settlement or verdict awarded. I can share with you that the at-fault driver was imprisoned for killing Mask for nine years. The mask had dealt with Spike TV, a sponsor of the Ultimate Fighter” cable TV show. Even Chuck Liddell mourned his loss. The guy was fantastic, and I wish I had been invited to his memorial service! RIP!

Even though the 300,000 Ferrari owner was famous in Southern California, he unfortunately died, and his female passenger had to go to the Santa Ana hospital in critical condition.

When two cars collide, things can be devastating, especially if someone dies or suffers catastrophic injuries. The red Ferrari high-speed crash on Jamboree Road in Newport Beach, California, remains one of the best examples of the many issues your lawyer may face in a bad crash. This is why getting expert help in Southern California is essential.

A Lawyer Who Understands

The co-founder Charles Lewis, a former mixed martial arts expert, died after his Ferrari apparently collided and the red sports car was ripped in half. The responsible party for the accident already had to manage felony drunk driving accusations, and in this case, he drove a white Porsche that killed the ultimate fighter.

You don’t need to wait until you’re in an accident in Costa Mesa or any other place in California before you get legal help. Furthermore, if you were already in a crash, finding a lawyer who knows what you’re going through is essential.

An Empathetic Professional to Help You

The news shocked thousands of people, especially when they read the details of the accident and how the car even ran into a light pole. Unfortunately, the fighter died after launching his exclusive apparel store in a crash where his red Ferrari collided when he was doing a street race.

Engaging in dangerous practices like street races can cause potentially deadly consequences. You might want to avoid this, especially after reading about the Costa Mesa man, Kirby, who killed the apparel store co-founder.

If you hire a top-notch expert such as Michael Ehline, you can ensure that if you’re in a crash and someone else is negligent and has a history of traffic violations, they’re held liable for their actions.

Getting Assistance When You’re in an Accident

Whether you hit a light pole after someone else crashed into you or if you read about how the Ferrari spun out of control, Lewis’s death might have shocked you and scared you, and now, you might want expert help.

If you were recently in an accident or if you want to hire a legal professional to avoid any issues, Michael Ehline can help. He is a former Marine and a mixed martial arts fighter, so he understands what happened and is committed to helping you through the process.

Listen To Kalya

Mask’s sister said it best: “When you drink, don’t drive.”

MMA’s Brendan Schaub Wrong Way Car Killing Hero

Since multiple UFC fights are scheduled for June and July 2022, we feel that it is the right time to talk about a story involving a UFC fighter that left the state of California in complete shock. On August 12, 2021, a devastating accident became big news as it involved the former UFC fighter, Brendan Schaub.

Schaub stated:

“There’s two kids, and there’s a bigger kid, and he keeps going, ‘I don’t want to die, I don’t want to die,’ and I go, ‘You’re not going to die, buddy, you’re not going to die.”

Encino’s Hero, Brendan Schaub, Saves Four Children

The accident occurred at 7 PM on August 12, 2021, and four days later, Brendan Schaub got into all the details of the accident on his “The Fighter and The Kid” podcast. The former UFC fighter, Brendan Schaub, said he was heading to a restaurant with his spouse, Joanna Zanella, in Encino, California. On his way, he saw a tractor-trailer blocking the 101 freeway. As he got his car closer to the scene, Schaub noticed a child waving his hand from the top of a mangled vehicle, a distress call for help.

Schaub immediately drew his spouse’s attention to the horrific car wreck. She suggested he keep driving and let law enforcement authorities take care of the situation. However, Brendan Schaub noticed two more kids inside the crumpled vehicle and immediately went to the vehicle without a second thought. Brendan Schaub got out of his car and told his wife to stay in the vehicle for safety.
Schaub approached the mangled car and saw another guy at the accident scene. Presuming that he may be the tractor driver, Schaub diverted his attention to the severely damaged vehicle. He noticed three kids and one older child who was traumatized by the incident as he kept yelling, “I don’t want to die.”

Reassuring the children that they were safe, Schaub tried to hinge the door open but failed as the crash caused the door to intertwine with the vehicle. Brendan Schaub hurriedly broke the partially broken window and started pulling the kids out.

After getting all the kids out, Brendan Schaub saw something grave in the corner of his eye. He glanced into the front seat and saw the children’s mother behind the wheel, who was already dead from her tragic collision. According to Brendan Schaub, the front seat was thoroughly soaked in blood, and brain matter was everywhere.

  • Schaub Takes Action to Shield Kids From the Car Crash Gore

Horrified at what he saw, he quickly turned toward the kids, who wanted to look at their mom to see if she was doing okay. Schaub, acting like their big brother, pulled the kids, who were crying for their mother, towards himself to prevent the children from witnessing the gruesome incident.

He mentioned in the podcast that he saw a Mexican man in his tank top with no shoes on fleeing from the accident scene. The man was hit by a Dodge Durango while crossing the freeway.

Brendan Schaub said he tried to hold back his tears during the podcast as he further explained how scary the situation was for him and the children. He mentioned that the SUV had hit the tractor in the gas tank, causing the gas to flood out. Brendan Schaub had his clothes soaked in gas and was afraid of a fire breaking out from spilling gasoline caused by the car crash.

When Brendan was assured that the two women would stay with the kids until the emergency services arrived, Schaub left. Brendan Schaub explained in his podcast why he didn’t wait until first responders arrived. It was because he was afraid of pulling his wife into the situation and didn’t want to stick around as the place was dangerous and highly volatile, with gasoline odor everywhere.

Witnesses at the Crime Scene

Schaub was not the only one at the crime scene. In the podcast, he mentioned another woman, Rita Campos, at the location of the accident. After saying Campos in his podcast, media outlets started to reach out to Campos to understand the story from her point of view.
Campos recalled that she was on her way home from work and was a bit far from a tractor-trailer in front of her. She saw an SUV coming on the wrong side of the freeway, and, to her shock, she saw the SUV slam into the tractor, causing a wrong-way crash. Campos immediately swerved her vehicle and parked it on the road.

She also reported that she saw another woman and Schaub at the accident scene as she got out of her car. She asked Schaub whether he called 911, and in that instance, she heard a “thud” sound. Campos stated that she was 100% certain that she saw a man get hit by a black SUV as he tried to flee by crossing the 101 freeway. Although she could not guarantee whether the man got hit by a Dodge Durango, she saw him get hit, and her statement matched the one Schaub provided in his podcast.

During this time, Schaub was already near the mangled car, and soon Campos followed as he tried to rescue the children. There was another man too, who tried to pry the doors open but failed. Schaub cleared the broken window of the shards of glass and took the kids out. He had handed one of the babies to Campos and the other to the other woman who was also at the accident scene.

Campos stated that Schaub rescued the children within 5 to 6 minutes before leaving. The first responders arrived 10 minutes after Schaub left. Concerned for the kids, she stayed for as long as the officers required her to care for the children.

Campos Remembers Her Heartbreak Exchange

Campos didn’t shy away from giving all the details possible about the accident to the media. She wanted to help law enforcement as much as possible. Campos recalled a conversation with the oldest child (The “chubby one”) from the accident. She mentioned how the child kept stating, “We don’t have a home anymore,” and that their mother was going to heaven.

The child asked Campos whether they would still go to heaven after the accident. Shaken by the conversation, Campos assured the child that one day he would go to heaven, but today he must remain brave and take care of his family since he was the oldest child.

Skeptics Started to Doubt Schaub’s Traumatic Incident

After the release of his podcast, Schaub faced serious doubts from people on social media about his involvement in the traumatic incident, with some believing that he fabricated the entire story. Most skeptics believe that he left the accident scene without speaking to the authorities; hence there is no proof of him being there.

Some of the skeptics thought that the details provided by Schaub were outrageous. Torres getting hit by a car while crossing the freeway, the gasoline flooding, and how Schaub removed the kids from the mangled car were some of the details that skeptics found hard to believe.

Campos saw many social media posts creating doubts about Schaub’s presence at the accident scene. Feeling bad for Schaub, Campos took her frustrations to social media with a post stating that Schaub was there and his story was accurate. She noted that Schaub was a minute earlier than her at the accident site, and when she arrived, Schaub was already trying to pry open the car door.

Many skeptics also argued that first responders don’t usually take that much time. However, Campos mentioned in her social media post that there was a massive traffic disruption with four lanes blocked, causing a delay in the first responders’ arrival. She stated that people who were not there did not understand the nature of the situation the two were in.

Schaub and Campos were already taken back by the accident, and seeing another guy nailed by a car as he made his escape, the leaking gasoline, the kids screaming for help, and their dead mother behind the wheel was all surreal. Campos stated that the two did not have the time to think but that all their actions were instantaneous.

Murder Suspect Arrested as the Story Unfolds

The local police started their investigation into the accident to get to the bottom of what happened on the 101 freeway. As the California Highway Patrol gathered evidence, it revealed something horrifying. A 31-year-old man named Cesar Iban Torres drove the wrong way on the 101 freeway with his family in the car with the clear intent of killing them.

He tried to flee the accident scene but got hit by a car. The first responders attempted to take the man into custody for questioning. However, he tried to resist arrest but failed. When ABC7 News contacted Torres’s brother Juan Zavala after the accident, Zavala said that he received a phone call from Torres stating that he had to give his family to God.

The surviving kids reported that their mother, Aimee Garcia, a 26-year-old woman, saved the children. The oldest child, 8-year-old Ceasar, mentioned how his mother tried to take control of the wheel even until the last moment. Angie Fuentes, Aimee Garcia’s aunt, told the media that Cesar was the only witness who could recall what he saw inside the car.

On August 16, 2021, the court charged Cesar Iban Torres with several charges, including murder, four counts of child abuse, and four counts of attempted murder, assault, and resisting arrest. The District Attorney at the time, George Gascón, expressed his grief over the incident, stating that the wrong-way driving collision tore apart the family, leaving four kids moderately injured. The court also set Torres’s bail at $1 million and scheduled his arraignment.

GoFundMe Page to Cover Funeral Expenses

Angie Fuentes set up a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for the mother’s funeral and an apartment for the children to live in. She mentioned in her campaign that Garcia died, leaving behind four beautiful children and needed money to survive; otherwise, they would end up in foster care.

The target for the GoFundme campaign was $30,000, but within a few days, it crossed the $69,000 mark. Even former UFC fighter Brendan Schaub reached out to Angie Fuentes to discuss how he could help and contribute to the cause. Schaub mentioned that he wanted to create a college fund for the children and pay for their mother’s funeral.

History of Domestic Violence Surfaces

Many Americans couldn’t understand how a father could murder his partner and attempt to murder his four children. The story did not make sense until Angie Fuentes disclosed the details of their relationship leading to the car wreck.

Fuentes stated that the couple had met when Garcia was 16 and studying in high school. She mentioned how her niece was a victim of domestic abuse for several years, and when the family would approach her about this situation, Garcia would make light of it and try to avoid the questions. At one point, Garcia ended up in the hospital to get stitches, to which Fuentes expressed her concern about the situation she and the kids were in well before the car wreck.

Fuentes said that although Garcia did not have a mom or a dad, she gave all her kids unconditional love and took them everywhere she went. Fuentes was also infuriated by the ordeal and expressed her desire for Torres to suffer in prison for the rest of his life for causing the car wreck. Fuentes cried while speaking to the media that she was the one who cut Garcia’s umbilical cord, and now she is the one planning her funeral.

Chris Bonilla’s Lawsuit Against CalTrans: A Legal Perspective

Bonilla Argues Negligence by the State?

It happened in Los Angeles County. Chris Bonilla was one of the best-known MMA fighters before his gruesome accident in 2018. Bonilla crashed into an unmarked barrier. Bonilla claims that the California Department of Transportation did not mark the boundary properly. According to Bonilla, he traveled on the 10 Freeway in West Covina around six in the morning. He pulled over to the side of the road.

The results were disastrous. According to TMZ, the former Muay Thai champ has a severe case. It caught my radar, so I wanted to expand with some thoughts from the legal profession side.

Photos of the accident show the sheer extent of the damage. Doctors barely saved his leg. However, according to the MMA champ, it may eventually need to be amputated. The photos show extreme damage to his body– and from the looks of it, due to an issue that should not have existed in the first place.

From The Law Side?

Legally, it appears that CalTrans was negligent. Most likely, the barrier required reflective tape or mirrored reflectors. So negligent maintenance and failure to warn are definitely at issue. The state did not install them. Furthermore, the state has a higher level of responsibility than a homeowner or a small municipality.

If CalTrans knew of the defect, it almost certainly is liable. Also, this issue is likely not isolated to this incident. Every case where CalTrans installed such defective barriers is an injury waiting to happen.

I read the publicly available info on Bonilla’s case. I don’t know every last detail. However, this appears to be relatively open and shut from a legal perspective. No one deserves to lose their leg. Especially not someone involved in physical activity.

A jury will likely award some compensation for the accident. How much remains to be seen? Bonilla’s original settlement demand amount remains unknown. If you would like more info on these and similar celebrity car accidents, keep reading our series on MMA and sports injuries. We will update our site with more cases later.

UFC Frank Camacho Car Accident Update

A Detour in Frank Camacho’s Fighting Career – Health Update

Frank the “Crank” Camacho was set to return to action for the first time after one year away from the cage. The UFC fighter was set to face Matt Frevola in UFC 263 but got involved in a car accident, forcing the fighter out of Saturday’s fight.

On June 8th, 2021, Frank Camacho suffered injuries from a serious multi-vehicle collision on the 405 Freeway in Los Angeles. Camacho was on his way from Redondo Beach when the five-vehicle pileup occurred on the 405 to San Diego. As Camacho’s ’96 Tacoma pickup truck was cruising on the San Diego freeway, they heard a loud screech before a truck plowed into the side of their vehicle from out of nowhere. The truck hit the metal divider before it flew and landed on a nearby Ferrari, resulting in a multiple-vehicle collision.

While at the scene of the accident, Camacho complained of head, neck, and shoulder pain. Camacho was immediately transported to a local hospital, the Los Alamitos medical center, where medical professionals conducted a CT scan and a few X-rays.

The medical tests showed inflammation in Camacho’s ligaments in the neck. Cuki Alvarez, with him in the vehicle, reported the car crash on his Instagram, stating that Camacho suffered from a herniated disc. An MRI revealed confirmed herniation with injuries to the C7 and T1 vertebrae, and no word whether they can be repaired or pushed back into place. Sadly, car accidents can lead to degenerative disc disease, which would kill his career.

Although the injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, Camacho pulled out of the lightweight bout to focus on recovering. He posted a photo of himself in the hospital bed on his social media account with a caption that said he was heartbroken to withdraw from his fight Saturday at UFC 263 and felt a little beat up.

Camacho wrote in the post that he appreciated the help from the medical staff, his family, friends, and his wife, Sarah, and that he was grateful to walk away from the accident in one piece. He also apologized to Matt Frevola and the UFC for any inconvenience caused.

He said of the accident,

“I’m absolutely heartbroken” to be forced to “withdraw from my fight.” He asserted the accident was just a “detour in my fighting,” even though it left him with a herniated disc and other injuries.

UFC 263 Fight Saturday Continued Without Frank

Frank Camacho was out of the cage for nearly a year ago since losing his match to Las Vegas, Nevada native Justin Jaynes, who knocked Camacho out. He has struggled to keep his standing. His first match after being one year away from the cage was against Brock Weaver, just a couple of months prior to the accident. However, UFC Lightweight Camacho had to withdraw after receiving a positive on his COVID-19 test.

After suffering from multiple herniated discs due to the accident, Camacho had to withdraw from his fight with Matt Frevola. Frank, “The Crank” Camacho, has dropped out for two out of four of his last five contests with an unsure future. Although the withdrawal shook the UFC lineup negotiations, the event continued with a new fight card entry brought into the contest to replace Frank Camacho.

It so happened that Frevola had to face Terrance Mckinney. Other UFC fights for the event included Nate Diaz vs. Leon Edwards, Eryk Anders vs. Darren Stewart, Alexis Davis vs. Pannie Kianzad, and many more.

In the cage, Camacho was a fighter. To heal, Frank the Crank Camacho will need to be patient and fight the urge to re-injure himself by returning to fighting too soon after his multi-vehicle collision. For now, he is in good spirits. We will keep you abreast of any health update info on behalf of Frank Camacho.

Just like how an accident became a hurdle in Frank Camacho’s rise to fame, it can also affect your life more than you think. Did you suffer injuries from a multi-vehicle car accident in California like Franck Camacho? Did another’s negligence cause it?
